Tahirih Justice Center is a national non-profit that has served nearly 17,000 courageous individuals fleeing violence since 1997. Our efficient, effective and innovative model of service is now delivered from three locations, and we’re committed to serving as many immigrant women and girls as possible.

Ending the Third Slavery
In 2016, Dr. Earl Lewis convened a meeting on slavery among 40 principle collaborators—scholars, organizations, and instiutions—at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Out of this meeting came the "Slavery and Its Aftermath" initiative at the Center for Social Solutions. This project aims to tackle America’s original sin—slavery.
