Volunteer Opportunities: Yes
After a loved one became a victim of sexual assault, Cynthia developed a new purpose: fighting back against predatory behavior against women and children. Following months of research on sex trafficking, she discovered a gap in the system in which no one was providing professional career development for survivors of trafficking. Seeing that she could profoundly affect change, she launched Shyne San Diego in 2018.
As a social disruptor who calls herself “a risk taker and a rebel in a good way,” Cynthia offers a rare ability to connect with people from all walks of life. As she continues building innovative programs with the power to change society, she follows the mantra: Trust. Believe. Receive.
To promote the financial independence of human trafficking and domestic violence survivors through small business development and entrepreneurship.
Our vision is for every survivor to follow her dreams for a meaningful career where she is valued and inspired to live her best life!
