Honor Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Take the opportunity to learn about sex trafficking.
Justice Ministries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to combating sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of women, with a focus on rescue & housing. Our goal is to locate victims of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation, help them get out of their situation and into a safe place, facilitate an environment conducive to healing, and assist them in their transition to independence.
Many of the victims that we serve are young women that have been forced into the sex trade. The average age of entry into prostitution is 12-14 years old. It is shocking, but this is happening in the USA and it is happening in your state.
There are currently only about 600 bed spaces nation-wide specifically for victims of human trafficking, but it is estimated that there are hundreds of thousands of victims in the USA. Therefore, our top priorities right now are to raise the funds needed to reach out to women who are caught in this horrific industry, and provide appropriate and secure housing for survivors.
