Make a Difference Day is “one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide. Volunteers from around the nation come together with a common mission: to improve the lives of others. Make a Difference Day has evolved from an idea for a national day of service on February 20, 1992, a Leap Year. It has transformed into the current national event held annually on the fourth Saturday every October.”
