ABC Nepal

History

Agroforestry, Basic Health and Cooperative Nepal (ABC Nepal) is a non-profit organization established from the pocket money of a few enthusiasts in 1987. It works towards the promotion of women and children's rights, with a special focus on the prevention of violence against women and trafficking in women and children. It was the first organization to draw attention towards the issue of human trafficking and to work for sensitizing the various segments of society to this gross violation of human rights. The organization advocates for gender equality by promoting women's education and economic empowerment and raising awareness about social and political issues that affect women the most.
